Latest edition - Summer 2008

In the summer issue of Broadsheet we're celebrating the season with qualifications for cabin crew and a boost to local tourism with our new barista qualification. At a testing time for many students, we look at the way British Gas is using alternative assessment methods. We also go outside to explore environmental qualifications. Plus it's a summer of achievement with the Lion Awards and the ILM Awards for Excellence.

Summer is a time for new experiences as we look ahead to a new academic year that sees the introduction of Diplomas, and consider the changing vocational landscape as employers are accredited to award qualifications. And finally, Shami Chakrabarti CBE, Director of Liberty and a City & Guilds Fellow, tells us what appeals to her about the City & Guilds experience.
