Our Partnerships
Working in alliance with organisations that share our vision, purpose and values, we are committed to taking vocational education to the next level by forging partnerships that deliver the skills and training required to truly develop a cutting edge workforce for economic prosperity.
Working with partners, we’re able to offer solutions for the learner, inspire achievement and in turn it helps us reach further across the world. Without our partners who provide our qualifications to people, we wouldn’t be able to achieve our mission.
Because City & Guilds don’t offer qualifications directly, we have, therefore forged relationships with three different types of partners – colleges, large employers and training providers. Then we look at partnerships that enable us to develop qualifications in the first place - those with Sector Skills Councils, training organisations and other bodies in a vast range of industries.
It’s rarely just one partnership that gets a single qualification to a learner. We’ve focused on the development and advancement of foundation degrees in response to government policy for vocational-based entry into higher education. Working and potential collaborators and partners for this project include bodies as wide-ranging as CITB Construction Skills, The Institute of Sport and Recreation Management, The Learning Disability Awards Framework, London South Bank University, The Open University and the Skills for Justice Sector Skills Council, and many more.
Team efforts such as this involve formal and informal partnerships, and organisations worldwide are realising the potential of wide ranging alliances, of inclusion and sharing in order to deliver better results. City & Guilds is no exception.
