Are you a super-fit person, always at the gym? Do you enjoy being outdoors and getting everyone involved in a game? Then why not think about a job in sport and leisure. You could soon be helping people learn or improve a skill, enjoy themselves and keep fit.
Perhaps you could be running sessions or leading classes, taking bookings or processing payments, but as you gain experience you can qualify as a fitness instructor or personal trainer, an expedition leader, sports coach or even a safety officer at your favourite football club.
Whatever activity you’re involved in, you might be quite tired at the end of the day but you’ll probably have enjoyed yourself more than many people do at work.

Sport and Leisure
This is a suite of qualifications from Level 1 to Level 7, which cover a wide range of areas that affect the careers of those working in the sport and leisure industry, particularly relating to the operation and development of sport facilities.

Exercise and Fitness
This is a suite of NVQs from Level 2 to Level 3, which has been designed to assess the competence of fitness and gym instructors, personal trainers and other practitioners in the health, exercise and fitness industry.

Coaching and Activity Leadership
This is a suite of NVQs from Level 2 to Level 3 which have been designed to assess the competence of activity leaders, coaches and assitant coaches across a wide range of sporting disciplines.

Outdoor Education
This is a suite of NVQs at Level 3, which have been designed to assess the competence of senior adventure leaders or those who deliver training, or development typically in the outdoors.

Spectator Safety
This is a suite of NVQs from Level 2 to Level 4, which have been designed to assess the competence of those working in the event and matchday stewarding industry.

Playwork
This is a suite of qualifications from Level 1 to Level 4, which have been designed for those candidates who work or want to work with school children (typically aged 4-16) in a variety of settings.

Mechanical Ride Operations
This is an NVQ at Level 2, which has been designed to assess the competence of those operating mechanical ride of fairgrounds, piers, parks and other attractions.
