Pat Stringfellow is a member of the City & Guilds Council and sits on the Executive Committee; she is also a member of the Advancement and Strategy Committee. She has been involved with City & Guilds over the last five years and is a keen advocate of individual learning and development through her work over the years supporting the National Training Awards as Chair of the National Judging Panel. She was awarded an MBE for services to training in 2003.

Pat has a first degree in Business Studies and an MBA. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development having worked in the HR profession for over 20 years. Pat has worked with blue chip service companies in the Private Sector including Sainsbury, Marks & Spencer, Lex and Rentokil Initial where she is a Human Resource Director working across its many businesses in the UK and overseas. Over the years she has been particularly involved in developing and providing NVQs and Basic Skills in the contract cleaning and facilities management sectors.
