English for Business Communications - International (No. 8959 )

City & Guilds English for Business Communications is a realistic and innovative exam based on a simulation approach. The candidate is placed in the role of a business person who finds a set of authentic-looking communications – letters, faxes, e-mails – in their in-tray when they come into the office in the morning. They have to write suitable replies, and other documents such as brief reports, following instructions from their boss. The exam is available on demand, so your learners can take it when they are ready.

Levels

We offer the exam at three levels:

Level 1 - equivalent to City & Guilds ESOL Access: for candidates who can read communications conveying straightforward information and draft simple replies.

Level 2 - equivalent to City & Guilds ESOL Communicator: for those who can handle correspondence concerning problems and sensitive business relations.

Level 3 - equivalent to City & Guilds ESOL Mastery: tests the ability to process all kinds of business communications, including sophisticated reports and advertising material.
