The new level 2 Diploma for Digital Home Technology Integrators (e Quals 07)

City & Guilds is pleased to announce the accreditation of a new level 2 Diploma for Home Technology Integrators.  This qualification is suitable for technicians who would like their skills and ability to configure, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and comprehend the basic design concepts of electronic and digital home systems recognised.

To qualify for the qualification, learners must take two units:

• Customer Support Provision
• CompTIA Home Technology Integrator plus

Customer support provision  covers:

• Communicating with customers in different ways
• Poviding technical information and support in response to customer requirements
• Identify potential improvements in the customers’ use of resources

The DHTi+ unit examination is assessed by CompTIA’s on-line test and assesses the underpinning knowledge in the following areas:
1.0 Networking 
2.0 Audio/Video 
3.0 Telephone/VOIP 
4.0 Security and Surveillance 
5.0 Home Control Management 
6.0 Documentation and Troubleshooting
