Christopher Blake - Painting and Decorating

Chris is 21 and from Livingston in Scotland. He is employed by Mardon Decorating Services in West Lothian. Chris studied both at Edinburgh Telford College and at work and has successfully achieved several qualifications including SVQs at Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Painting and Decorating. He has also completed an Apprenticeship.

‘I am training hard, exercising and eating healthily. Also I have been preparing myself mentally so I am in the right frame of mind for the competition, which is just as important as the physical.’

Competition requirements: Chris will need to prepare and apply wall hangings as well as water-based materials. He will be expected to prepare base wall and woodwork and use flat trowels, paintbrushes and applicators.
