George PlantGeorge is 21 years old and lives in Teanford in Staffordshire. He studied at Bath College where he successfully completed an NVQ Level 3 in Stonemasonry. George also has a City & Guilds Advanced Award in Stonemasonry and has undertaken a Modern Apprenticeship. He works for Ian Knapper Stonemasons Ltd., a company that uses traditional techniques to produce intricate fireplaces.

Competition requirements: George will work with hand and power tools to cut and shape natural stone into a monument or façade with complex internals and external features.
