Will Torrent – Confectionery / Pastry Chef

Will is 21 years old and lives in Iver, Buckinghamshire where he is employed by the Richings Park Golf and Country Club.

He has just completed a BSc in Culinary Arts Management at Thames Valley University, and earlier this year appeared alongside top TV chef James Martin in the BBC series ‘Sweet Baby James’.

‘By competing at WorldSkills I hope to gain valuable experience that will help me move forward in my career, as well as representing the country on a world stage.’

Competition requirements: Will will need to demonstrate a range of techniques in making gateaux, afternoon tea pastries, marzipan animals, sugar work, desserts and chocolates.
