To make life simpler for our centres we have now combined the separate qualification parts of a hairdressing apprenticeship, into one single point of registration: 9701 Apprenticeship in Hairdressing. This means a centre is no longer required to register a candidate separately for both constituent parts: the NVQ and the Key Skills.

The Apprenticeship in Hairdressing (9701) is made up of the following qualifications

NVQ

Hairdressing Level 2 - 3014 -02 or 3014-52 (including GOLA)

Key Skills

• Communication Level 1 - 3068-01
• Application of Number Level 1 - 3068-01
• Information Technology Level 1 (Optional)

Employment Rights and Responsibilities – ERR Certificate of Achievement either provider devised certificate of achievement or the Habia ERR certificate
